ABOUT
Dr. Sean B. Yisrael, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, began his career in education as a high school Social Studies teacher in 1998. He transitioned to administration as an assistant principal in 2004, working in various districts in Ohio. From 2008 to 2014, he served as principal of Roosevelt S.T.A.Y. High School in Washington, D.C., where the school achieved the highest graduation rates and career certifications among alternative schools. Additionally, he authored five educational books from 2010 to 2015 and worked as an adjunct professor at Trinity University. In 2016, he became the Director of the Young Adult Learning Center at Maya Angelou Public Charter Schools, leading it to the highest G.E.D. pass rate among alternative schools in D.C. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University, a Master’s in School Leadership, and a Doctorate in School Administration, both from Miami University.
